Collective Haul

Hello, I hope you are well? as we can see I have been completely slack on the blogging side, there's no point in saying sorry because it is what it is. I have now set aside a day for blogging, Sunday, so there won't be any more 4 weekly intervals between posts. I wasn't too sure what I was going to do to ease back into blogging because I have quite a few posts planned out, but I figured A haul post was the best way to go about it, so here it is. Most of these things were bought this month but I did decide to throw in one thing that I bought back in May because it was such a good deal that I couldn't leave it out. Enjoy.

This bag was the item I purchased in May. I was out thrifting with a friend and I was just walking around killing time whilst she tried on a few things. As I was walking, I noticed this bag from halfway across the store and noticed it was a satchel style, which, the night before, I had just been telling my mum that I regretted selling my neon pink cambridge satchel. So, I started to make my way over. Once I got over to it, I checked the price and it was $20 and I was little put off but it was practically new and it had no marks or scratches so I continued to inspect it. I had a look on the inside and noticed there was a little label that just said steven, when I read that my brain just went "Steven, as in Steve Madden, Steven" so I turned it over and lo and behold on the back it said Steven By Steve Madden...soooooo...I happily paid $20 for it. It also isn't the first time I've picked up something by Steve Madden, at the beginning of the year I picked up a pair of Steve Madden Ugg boots brand new for $10.

These two item's I picked up a couple of weeks back when I was visiting my friend, once again, thrifted. I picked up the denim jacket for $8 and the top I picked up for $4. I did pick up one other top, a white flowy crop top, but, the other day when I was getting ready to go out, I dropped my mascara wand on it and it needs washing.

These two pieces I picked up just yesterday. On Saturday night I babysat for a couple of hours and was given $20, which I wasn't expecting so that was a nice surprise. Anyway, the peach top on the right was $6.50 and the red, it's coming up orange but I can assure you it's red, top/dress, it's technically a bigger ladies top because it's a size 24 but on me its a nicely draped loose dress that I can wear with my flares, was $8.50.

And last but not least, this bad boy. Ok, let's get this out the way first, for a long, long, long time I have been wanting this style of bike but I just didn't have the money to buy one. So, I was at my friends the other week and she had managed to grab herself a similar style bike for $20 and I was, naturally, a bit jealous lol but she had one and I spent most of the weekend riding around her backyard. The next day, when I came home, I was moping around because I just didn't have the money and there would be no way I could raise the money needed to buy myself a bike, so, on a whim, I went on Gumtree, it was pretty much just so I could sit there feeling sorry for myself whilst I looked at the bikes I wanted and I never expected that by the end of that search I would have myself a bike. So, I went on and saw one for $50 and it was local. I was about to message the seller when I saw one that was exactly what I was looking for, the wrong colour, but everything else was right. I looked at the price and it was $20, by this point I was excited because it said it was in my area and if needed I could get someone to drive me down to pick it up. So I messaged them and asked if they still had it, even though they had only just advertised it a few hours earlier but at that price it could have been snapped up, so I messaged them and they said that if I wanted to I could come and see it right then, it was close to 6pm, I said yes, but I would have to stop off to grab some money out, which they were cool with. They gave me the address and I noticed that they were in my suburb and my suburb is small so I got google maps out and put in the address and I couldn't believe it, they were literally two streets away from me. So I got the money, walked over and came home with a bike. I couldn't believe my luck, it was definitely meant to be.....P.S. watch this space because I will be posting about my bikes makeover which I'm hoping to do towards the end of the week so if that goes to plan it could possibly be this Sundays post.

That's it, sorry about the epic novels that have accompanied some of the photo's, but how I stumbled across some of these things just needed to be shared.
Until next time, take care x

  1. Oooh the bike is so cute! It looks a little like the one I have, in fact it looks like an exact cross between my bike and my husbands bike! I just got back into biking and it is so much fun, I can't wait to hear about all your biking adventures!
