Say Hello To Our Newest Family Member..

I would like to introduce you all to the newest family member, Matilda. Mum and I had decided we wanted to adopt an adult cat a few weeks back and this little girl was the lucky winner. She just turned 2 and she is so placid and gentle, a real sweetheart, which was kind of what we were wanting, a cat that wouldn't care if kids came up and petted her or adult visitors for that matter (Poesy isn't good with any of those things). Matilda was dropped off last night by her foster parent and settled in more or less straight away, she was sitting on laps and coming for pets instantly. Seeing as she was dropped of a little later than expected, our resident cat, Poesy, was already in bed, which worked out better because it gave Matilda a chance to explore our house without having to deal with an unhappy cat. Poesy and Matilda have since met and as we expected, Poesy had her nose out of joint and just sat there hissing at Matilda, who couldn't give a flying pixie dust and just sat there staring at Poesy as if to say "can you manage". Every now and then Poesy will come a little closer and hiss a little bit, but Matilda just slow blinks at her, which Poesy responds to whilst hissing. Poesy is warming to Matilda, she has been hissing less as the day goes on, which we knew would happen, but it will take a little while longer until she completely accepts it and luckily for us Matilda is happy to give Poesy her space until she is comfortable enough to come up to her. I'll update you all in a few weeks on how Poesy is going and if she has fully adjusted to Matilda. Until next time, take care x

  3. She's beautiful!!! :D I'm sure Posey will warm up to her in no time. My girl cat hated her brothers when we first adopted them, but eventually she learned to like them!

    1. They are getting used to each other, mind you it was mostly Poesy who had the issue lol
But they have been seen running around and taking turns chasing each other so it's going well thus far :)
