Goals For 2015

Don't you just love it when your laptop completely shit's itself without any prior warning? I certainly do....can you smell all that sarcasm?...

Yes, that's what has happened to me. I was busy doing a few blog related bits-n-bobs when all of a sudden my laptop makes this horrid sound and just shut's off and would not turn back on. So, I am currently without my own laptop for at least another two weeks until I can get the money together for a new one, which, in all honesty, I can't really afford but I do need one because everything I do, hobby wise/work wise, requires a laptop so I don't have much of a choice. In the meantime I've currently hijacked my work laptop to schedule a few posts for the next week or so. With that out the way we can move along. I was going to make this post at the beginning of this month but the beginning of the month turned out to be awful, we had a death in the family two weeks ago and then my laptop died and everything just seemed to be going wrong and I just completely lost track of time. I don't usually do new years resolutions and I don't like to call them resolutions, anyways, I prefer to call them goals. I feel I'm more likely to stick to them if I stay away from the word resolution. I don't know why, I just do. Despite the beginning of the month not being the greatest, I do have a good feeling that this is going to be a great year, for not just me, but my family in general. I have been seeing a lot of butterflies and moths, both of which have flown towards me and landed on me or that follow me around for a good distance. The reason I bring that up is that butterflies and moths tend to be a sign of new beginnings and we have been over run by butterflies and moths, also my sister has been having a lot of dreams this month of babies and people having babies which is another meaning of new beginnings, so there's a pretty big change coming and it's just a matter of waiting and seeing what it is. We did get some rather good news regarding a couple of family members which I won't go into but that could be a start of the change. But other than that there are a few goals this year that I'm determined to achieve, so lets get into those, shall we.

1. Job
Something I'm determined to do is to find a new job. Woking two days a week is fine, but, on the money side of things it isn't great. So a new job is top of my goals list.

2. Getting Fit
We have all, at some point, made a resolution related to weight loss, but this year I mean it. Over the years I have put weight on due to Depression and just not feeling good about myself. Now, a lot of friends and family tell me I'm fine and that I am not that big, which is true, a size 12/14 isn't that big, but it is bigger than what I used to be and it has affected me. So, getting fitter and getting back to a 10/12 is going to help me feel better about myself which in turn is going to help with things like getting a job and also will make me more inclined and more comfortable in doing outfit posts.

3. Doing Things On My Own
I tend to miss out on a lot of things because I can't find anyone to go with or to do things with and to be honest I'm kind of over it. If I couldn't find someone to go shopping with or to go into the city with or to go to concert with, I just wouldn't go at all and I would just sit at home doing nothing, which was just ridiculous and the more I thought about 2014 the more I realised how stupid it was to miss out on all things I missed out on.

4. Reading
I love to read and for some reason I hardly did any reading last year, so, this year I plan on reading a book every month.

5. Pet Related.
This is the last goal for 2015 and it's relating to my cat. My cat is an indoor cat, much to her annoyance, and If anyone has an indoor only cat you would know that it takes a little more work to keep them entertained and although I play with her for 30mins in a morning and in the evening, I have been lacking in other areas. For the last year or more I have been wanting to create a little retreat for her, a little "the outdoors" indoors and I just never got around to it and I feel bad about it because if it was up to her she would love to be outdoors. So this year I plan on setting that up for her and perhaps, just maybe, her attempt of darting out the door will cease.

Whilst on the topic of cats, here's is my favourite Poesy cat photo of 2015, so far. Makes me laugh every time I see it.

So, there you have it. My 2015 Goals. What are your goals for 2015? Do you have any?
I have high hopes when it comes to keeping mine so hopefully I won't let myself down.
With that I shall go and have some dinner because I am hungry and Until next time, take care x

  5. My first visit here. I love your cat! I understand about the indoor cat. My cat is 15 now and has been strictly indoors his whole life. He doesn't so much but sleep nowadays, but in his youth he was a handful. Good luck with your laptop! That stinks.
