Late last week I had a sudden need to take some photo's, so, I got ready. As I was getting ready I realised that I didn't actually want to be in them, not at all, what I actually wanted to do was to take them of someone else...but who?. Then it came to me, Samantha, my best friend. She is always up for a dress up and doesn't mind too much, to the best of my knowledge, about sitting for hours on end whilst I do her hair and makeup. So, I messaged her and asked if at some point I would be able to dress her up and take her photo, she agree'd and told me that she would actually be around my way Friday evening and if she had no plans on the Saturday she would swing by and do it then. Well, she wasn't busy that day and even ended up staying at mine Friday night through to Sunday, which was good as it meant we could get an early start on the Saturday. It was about 10am, not as early as we had hoped, when we started lugging the clothes that I had picked, along with shoes, accessories, makeup and hair products, downstairs. Once we had everything it was time to get down to business, I knew the hair would take a while, an hour in total and the makeup only took about 40mins, so by the time Sam had put on her first outfit it was already about 12.30pm. All in all, with clothes changes and hair tweaks, oh, and the moving of a chair into the middle of my backyard, everything was done and dusted by 2:30pm and we were just left with enjoyable task of tidying everything up and bringing everything back upstairs. For me, I thoroughly enjoyed It and Sam was an excellent model, she knew exactly what I was asking of her and nailed it on the head everytime. All in all it was a day well spent and I have plans of roping her in again to do a Halloween-esque shoot.
Until next time, Take care x
