City Haul

Hello, I hope all is well
I have just a quick little post, I did a spot of retail therapy on Monday because I needed a little pick me up, I've not been back at uni that long and I'm already feeling massively drained by it all, so this definitely helped me to take my mind off of everything. The First Place, well technically second because we stopped off at Starbucks to get a mocha frappuccino, but the first shop we went into was Topshop, now, I've never been to Topshop, I mean I've bought things online, but never actually been to a physical store and that's only because here in Brisbane, we didn't have a Topshop. That was until December 5 of 2013 when one opened in the CBD, so obviously my main goal of the trip was to stop off at Topshop and hopefully find something with the very little money I did have, which, if you have ever been to Topshop you would know that, that's a pretty big mission. One that i managed to complete, so proud of myself...

I managed to pick up a lovely maroon semi crop top for $32 and three pairs of frilly socks for $18, now, I know, you're probably thinking " um, vanessa, there's only two pairs there" and you would be correct, there are only two pairs there, That's because I gave a pair to a friend who couldn't make it out and was feeling a little bummed out about it, so I got a pair to cheer her up. As you can tell it was proving rather tricky to photograph this top and it looks rather light in this photo but i can assure you its definitely a lot darker in person. But as I said it was proving tricky, so I left it for now seeing as I will be wearing it in a few days and   Ill be doing an outfit post, so I will be able to go into more detail then.
The next couple of items I picked up were two books that I've been wanting for a while. The first is the Lady Gaga X Terry Richardson, first of all this book weighs a good 2.5kg, at least, that was a pain to lug around and second of all I only just sat down and flipped through all the photos. There are so many, definitely worth the money if you're a Gaga fan, obviously. There are some amazing shots in there and I'm glad I finally got around to getting it. The second book is, The fault in our stars by John Green, I'm a massive John Green fan and I've read every other book of his with the exception of this one, but, I have it now and I cannot wait to start it.
Last, but by no means least, is this little blue beauty. I bought a Ukulele, I've been bugging people for so long to get me one for birthdays and christmas and these things come and go and still no ukulele. So I took it upon myself to purchase one and I could not be happier. He does have a name, its Buckley, I named him after Jeff Buckley who is one of my favorite artists of all time. So now I have a little friend for Stevie, who is my acoustic guitar, and yes, It is named after Stevie Nicks. I also love Stevie Nicks, what can I say.

So that's, that. we've come to the end. I hope you enjoyed, until next time, Bye Bye x
