Tis The Season To Be Partying

It is the party season, well, for most people, and with that comes great fashion responsibility. I have been invited to three Christmas parties this year, three, a vast improvement on my zero invitations I've had over the last three years. Sadly, I am not able to purchase new festive party gear and must make do with what I have, which won't be an issue because I have enough glittery festive nail polish and red lipstick to last a lifetime, but that isn't the point of this post. The point of this post is to help those of you who are lucky enough to be able to buy new party outfits and who may or may not be stuck for ideas, that's where my post comes in and saves the day......that's a bit presumptuous of you, Vanessa. Calm down. My apologies. Moving along, I have four looks, today, two are more on the Formal side and the other two are a little less formal, still dressy, just not as formal....Anyway, I've babbled on for way longer than I had intended, so I shall zip it and I'll meet you at the bottom...

Dear Santa....

It is 4 weeks till Christmas, guys. 4 weeks! I'm excited, if you couldn't tell. I'm excited for all the things that lead up to Christmas. The road trips to see Christmas lights, the Christmas festivals that are held throughout town, the local Christmas carols and the Christmas night markets. I'm excited for it all. Now that the excitement is out the way, I am back today with a A Christmas wishlist! and although my family know me pretty well, it's still nice to throw a few hints out there just in case they get stuck, you never know. Now, there are some pricey items on this list and in no way do I expect people to shell out that kind of cash, but, it is a wishlist after all and whats a wishlist without a little wishful thinking?..anyways, now that, that's covered, we can move onto the list....

What I Watch In The Month Of Halloween

It is October or, for those of you Halloween lovers, like myself, It is Halloween. Halloween the 6th to be exact! and I thought I would share with you the movies I watch every year during the month of Halloween. There are now 35 movies on my "Halloween" list thanks to a few newcomers this year and I can only assume that it will continue to grow and I'm perfectly fine with that. I love movies. The majority of the films I've been watching for an extremely long time. Some, from childhood and a lot from my teenage years and I still get as excited to watch them as I did 10, 20 years ago (20 years ago feels strange to say lol I was 6, 20 years ago, strange). I hope you enjoy and until next time, take care xx..

Spring Wishlist.

Well, its spring. Time for me to stock up on my Hayfever tablets....I hate spring, not as much as I hate summer though. 38 degree temps, crippling migraines, being violently ill all day, consuming 7000 liters of water to keep my body from becoming dehydrated, actually, I like water, so that ones not too bad, but the rest are. I just don't understand how people love summer? I couldn't think of anything worse than going out to the beach or out for a picnic, any of those things,  in 38 degree temperatures with about 80% humidity and an Extreme UV index of about 20. Not to mention that the sun is about a centimeter away from your face.. None of those things scream, LETS GO TO THE BEACH!. Noooo, lets go to the air conditioned cinema and drink frozen cokes! That's what smart people do!...I just. I don't like it, I hate it. Now that I got that out of my system. Here's my spring wishlist. Enjoy...

What's going on?

I just wanted to write this post to let you know what has been happening and what will be happening. My posts haven't been as regular as they usually are and that was, at first, due to the fact that I started working two days a week which completely threw me off the blogging track. I had just gotten on top of that and was posting regularly when my cat knocked my laptop off my desk and it decided it didn't want to turn on.

Wardrobe Questions.

I found this floating around the internet and I can't for the life of me remember where it was that I had found it. That being said when I had found it, I had started to write up a post answering the questions but got sidetracked and instead it just sat as a draft, waiting for the day that I saw it again. Well today is that day, little post. You will be finally seen. I find these posts interesting to read so, if you have time and are stuck for idea's maybe give this a go?.

August Wishlist.

I feel my life is one giant wishlist. The curse of the broke, I suppose, all we can do is look and wish that a pile of money somehow magically appears in our bank account. It's even worse when, like myself, you are a complete shopaholic. Seriously, I need to stop wasting time looking at things I cannot purchase. It's extremely depressing at times, lol. Also, Sorry that my posts have been all over the place and not as regular. I work two days a week now and it has completely thrown me off, I'm easily thrown. I work on Monday's and Tuesday's and I usually posted on Tuesday's and Friday's and I was going to change that around but felt there was no point seeing as I can just schedule my posts, anyways. I didn't post yesterday, Friday. I got side tracked with playing The Sims 4 Create a sim demo...priorities and all that jazz. haha. But, everything will be back on track starting next week. But for now here are the things I have been lusting after...

A Day In The Life

Friday just gone, my friend and I joined his sister on a road trip up to the Sunshine Coast, Maroochydore, to be exact. It wasn't a spur of the moment trip, my friends sister had a photo shoot up there and asked if we wanted to come for the drive to keep  her company on the way. It takes about an hour to get there, so not too bad, really. Once we arrived at the studio, we said goodbye to my friends sister and headed off in her car to Sunshine Plaza to get some P plates because my friend hadn't thought to bring his, luckily they are only $2 in cheap stores so we weren't exactly out of pocket (although we did lose the front P plate, it flew off in a massive wind gust, there were quite a few of those that day)..

Birthday Wishlist

Oh? What's that? My birthday is still 79 days away? Yes, I know, but if you are going to wish for relatively pricey things, you best be giving people plenty of warning. So consider this my warning, START SAVING!!!!....Obviously, I'm not being serious. I am well aware of what my friends and family can afford but it is still nice to dream about these things. Yes,  my birthday is still 79 days away but the months fly by so quickly that it will be here in no time! So why not post this now? Enjoy and until next time, take care x...

Quarter Life Crisis

It's been a while, well, it feels that way. It's been almost two weeks since I posted last and there is a reason as to why it's been so long, I've hit a wall. A major wall. For the last two weeks I've done nothing but feel sorry for myself, don't judge, we all feel sorry for ourselves from time to time. But I've just felt uninspired about everything. I don't know what I'm doing with my life, which at times is frightening considering I'm 26 this year and you kind of feel that you should at least know that, but then at the same time I feel as though a lot of people feel that way, a lot more than you think. First of all, I have hit a creative block, everything I found exciting or that I thoroughly enjoyed, just feels like a task, oh, I HAVE to do that, as opposed to just going out and doing it without even thinking  or feeling as though it was a burden.

Skin Care Routine - Face

I'm not one of those people who always chop and change their face care routine, I've been lucky enough to find the things that work best for my skin and have stuck to them. The only thing that tends to change are my cleansers, the last cleanser I was using was great, at first, then after a while of using it, not so much. I didn't want to feel as though I wasted my money so I soldiered on through that less than impressive cleanser until it was empty and then moved onto the one you are about to see. My routine is the same in the morning as it is on a night. *Side Note* I don't usually wear makeup unless I'm going somewhere "nice" so there isn't anything in this post about makeup removal. However, If I did wear makeup on a particular day then I would just use the Garnier Micellar cleansing water to remove it and go on from there...

March Wishlist

For those of you who don't know, I spend a lot of time on urban outfitters and on free people. Which isn't ever the best idea because all the things I fall in love with on free people tend be right up there in the way of price and it's too tempting to forgo my camera savings and buy that dress, or those shoes. Luckily for me my determination to get my new camera is winning out over my "wants" so that's a bonus and for that I deserve this bar of white chocolate for all my hard work of resisting the urge to waste my money. Instead of buying, I wish listed the hell out of the stuff I've been pining over on free people and urban outfitters. Enjoy x...

A Photo A Day

Hello, hope you are well
I have a little photo post for you all that I'm thinking of making a permanent fixture on this blog. I'm a big lover of photo's and I figured that every Friday i would choose 7 photo's, one from each day of the week, and share them. It's also a good way to have a guaranteed post for those weeks when I'm busy with uni, because even when I'm swamped in uni work I still manage to snap a whole lot of photo's. It also means I don't have to say/type too much of anything because the photo's will do all the work for me and lets be honest, sometimes, it's tricky to think of what to say, well, for me it is. Nevertheless here are my 7 favourite snaps from this week...

City Haul

Hello, I hope all is well
I have just a quick little post, I did a spot of retail therapy on Monday because I needed a little pick me up, I've not been back at uni that long and I'm already feeling massively drained by it all, so this definitely helped me to take my mind off of everything. The First Place, well technically second because we stopped off at Starbucks to get a mocha frappuccino, but the first shop we went into was Topshop, now, I've never been to Topshop, I mean I've bought things online, but never actually been to a physical store and that's only because here in Brisbane, we didn't have a Topshop. That was until December 5 of 2013 when one opened in the CBD, so obviously my main goal of the trip was to stop off at Topshop and hopefully find something with the very little money I did have, which, if you have ever been to Topshop you would know that, that's a pretty big mission. One that i managed to complete, so proud of myself...

An Introduction.

Where to start, I always have issues with this! It takes me forever to do uni assignments because of the fact that I never know how to start or where to start...my brains having a melt down as I type.

Okay, my name, that's a good place to start, right? Vanessa, that's my name. (going well so far, Vanessa...)..
